About the internship
Since launching in Germany in mid-2021, we expanded Uber Eats into 65+ cities, unlocked millions of new Eaters and we are not slowing down! Germany specifically is a massive market where millions of customers and partners are underserved with only one major player, and it represents a multi-billion dollar greenfield opportunity for us to gain. To accelerate our growth, we are seeking a sharp and driven Junior Launch Manager completing upcoming expansions across the country. We are looking for a strong performer that is excited to bring stellar services to millions of new hungry Eaters ready to roll up their sleeves, and able to solve any road blockers.
What You’ll Do:
● Handling several city launches simultaneously and are in charge of making sure that our expansions are an operational success
● Developing the Go-to-Market strategies and setting targets for Launch Sales
● Working hand in hand with Courier Operations and Sales Team Leads to ensure a good restaurant selection and smooth delivery operations from the start on ● Travelling into new cities to exchange with partners on the ground and supporting on all fronts during the launch week ensuring a good experience for partners and customers
● Proactively identifying weaknesses and preventing errors
● Driving operational excellence by playbooking your processes: your insights will pave the way for growth
● Thinking creatively: actively looking for solutions and identifying problems
● Gaining a 360 view of a rapidly scaling business through collaborating with multiple teams
What You’ll Need:
● Bachelor’s degree
● 1+ years experience in a startup, tech company or any kind of operational role
● You are a generalist seeking exposure to different types of problems and trying your hand at different sides of the business
● You can work highly autonomously with a talent for managing multiple projects with competing priorities
● You are effective at operating under pressure and solving problems quickly
● You are data-driven in your decision-making
● Self-starter with a hands-on mentality; rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever it takes to make things successful
● Readiness to travel 10% of the time
● Full professional proficiency in German and English is a must
